The academic year is divided into two terms. The winter semester starts in October and last until mid-February (Exams in February). The summer semester starts in mid-February and last until mid-June when examination session starts. There are short breaks at the end of December and during Easter.
Accommodation
The University of Bielsko-Biala tries to provide accommodation for every foreign student at the university’s dormitory. Accommodation is booked upon acceptance of the student. The dormitory is situated about 20 minutes by bus from the University Campus. Every room is equipped with basic items of furniture (beds, wardrobe, fridge). Bedclothes are provided. There are a few common kitchens on each floor. Free Internet access is available in each room.

Bielsko-Biała is a beautiful city surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes. It is abundant in stunning Art Nouveau architecture and is often referred to as Little Vienna. It is also a vibrant student city with enjoyable nightlife, rich in both historical and natural sights. The city is located within a short distance to Czech and Slovakian borders and is one of the most business friendly medium size cities in Poland.
